Watercolour Illustrations – Inspiration and Ideas
Have you checked out our Sail and Swan Pinterest Boards lately? I’ve just added a whole bunch of new and beautiful ones to our collection! Today I am feeling inspired by these beautiful watercolour illustrations. Thought it would be nice to share some of my favourites here on the blog, and you’ll find some really talented artists in the mix. My favourite thing about watercolour illustrations is that you can achieve so many varied results from this versatile media. Dramatic colours and splatters, soft blends and subtle markings, collage-like effects when mixed with digital media, the list goes on.
As seen from top to bottom these watercolour illustrations are:
“Wolf” by Sarah Lamonde and Marita Romberg found on Flickr
“Lady Grey from Red Mountain” by Oriol Angrill Jordà
Black and White Cup of Tea – found on The Honey Diaries (does anyone know who the original artist is?)
Illustrated Envelope from the Phoebe Wahl Blog (again, does anyone know the original artist so I can credit?)
